Long Battery Life on SportDOG 1800
I’ve used dog training gear for years, and the thing that annoys me the most is the fact that I have to remember to charge the unit every other day. With the SportDOG 1800, all that changed! Its batteries last for 40 to 80 hours without being charged. Further, the charger simultaneously charges the collar and the transmitter with a single plug. It even has a low battery indicator as well as a battery charge indicator. I’ve found that the battery itself lasts much longer as well. I have used the SportDOG 1800 for over three years and still have not had to purchase new batteries. Manufacturers tend to neglect the batteries, not realizing how essential these are to any electronic device. I am so grateful that the designers of the SportDOG 1800 have addressed this issue.
