Judge Rules Patti LaBelle’s Son Zuri Edwards Can File Claim

Remember the beatdown Richard King, former West Point cadet, allegedly got at the hands of Patti LaBelle’s bodyguard Efren Holmes and her son Zuri Edwards at a Houston airport? Well, a federal judge granted Zuri Edwards approval to file a third-party complaint against Continental Airlines for allegedly overserving alcohol to Richard King before the altercation occurred. Richard King sued Patti LaBelle, whose real name is Patricia Edwards, in state court last June claiming she ordered her bodyguards to attack him because he was standing too close to her luggage at Bush Intercontinental Airport. Besides LaBelle, King named her son/bodyguard Zuri...

Patti LaBelle Update: Beaten Cadet Sues Airport Worker Who Allegedly Squealed to West Point

The former West Point cadet who's suing singer Patti LaBelle's entourage for allegedly assaulting him at Bush Intercontinental Airport last March has added an airport operations worker to the list of defendants. In an amended complaint filed earlier this week, Richard King accuses Houston Airport System employee Cahl Rasmussen of relaying false and defamatory information to King's West Point supervisors -- namely, that King instigated the confrontation that left him bloody and landed him in the hospital. "[Rasmussen] was not a witness, but without compunction, passed on the aforesaid false report as if it was true," the complaint states. "In...

'We have a duty to prepare for the worst': Peter King warns Iran has 'hundreds' of Hezbollah

Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah may have hundreds of operatives based in the United States, and Hezbollah--not al-Qaida--poses the greatest terrorist threat to Americans, the Republican chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Peter King, said today. Since September 11 2001, America’s counter-terror officials have focussed on al-Qaida and home-grown radicalised American extremists, said the New York representative at a hearing of his committee. But, now, the terrorist threat to the United States is shifting. ‘As Iran moves closer to nuclear weapons and there is increasing concern over war between Iran and Israel, we must also focus on Iran's secret operatives

How Derrick Bell Beat Martin Luther King Jr.

“History proves that the white man is a devil,” said Malcolm X. “Whites are liars,” said Jeremiah Wright. “I love to harass white folks,” said Derrick Bell. “This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy,” a black teenager said to Allen Coon, a white student on the porch of his own home, as he set him on fire. “Don’t tell me words don’t matter,” Obama once said. And he was right. Words do matter. The words of his mentors that have rooted hate so deep in the black community that it has become a cancer, a...

King Kept Guns at Home for Self-Defense and Sought Right to Carry

"The late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. kept guns at home in Alabama for self-defense," gun law expert John M. Snyder recalled here on the eve of the national holiday named for the civil rights leader. "At one time," Snyder continued, "King applied for a permit to carry a concealed handgun, but was denied. He was concerned for his personal safety, just as are a lot of law-abiding American citizens. "This fact underscores the value of a public policy regarding constitutional carry. With constitutional carry, a law-abiding American citizen could exercise his or her constitutional right to carry a concealed...
