Georgia resident looking for help in the Washington area. My brother is in the hospital, he was just diagnosed with lymphoma and has congestive heart failure possibly connected to the lymphoma. Millions of Windows users may unwittingly be test subjects for an unfinished Microsoft antipiracy tool.The software maker has been delivering a prerelease version of Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications software to PCs as a "high priority" item in the built-in update feature in Windows. The tool, also known as WGA Notifications, is used to validate the authenticity of Windows software installed on a PC. The move is a first for the software maker. REDMOND - The Redmond Police Department is facing a $1 million lawsuit after a woman says an officer used his Taser on her during a medical emergency. Windows Veteran Jumps Ship to Google

A top Windows architect has left his Redmond home to join the ranks at Google, although it's not clear what his new position will involve. Marc Lucovsky, a 16-year Microsoft veteran, joins a number of high profile developers hired by the search giant, including Mozilla programmers Ben Goodger and Darin Fisher.
